Hi there! It is hard to believe but it has been almost one year since I posted my last article about my AmeriCorps service. This past year has been great: I learned a lot about non-profit organizations, the psyches of at-risk middle school students, and my own enthusiasm for service. It was a hard year, as well: in November I was in a car accident, during January I had a procedure to have a uterine polyp removed, and my little old puppy dog, Spot, died last week.

Hey there, everybody! I just wanted to say "hi" and update you all on what I have been doing lately since I haven't seen many of you since I visited Illinois in 2001 when Grandmama Kann had her 90th birthday party.

O.K. so "no news" since Christmas "is good news". Or is it? I'm not sure but I was tired of the Christmas news being the newest so I am adding this new news.
